He was predeceased by: his parents, John Tepen and Mary Tepen (Hillen). He is survived by: his wife Margie Tepen (Wieneke); his children, Eric Tepen, Kevin Tepen (Lori) and Lynnette Macauley; his grandchildren, Brett Tepen, Janie Miles (Robby), Lily Shively (Luke), Kelsey Hagen (Drew), Margy Goetten (Mitch), Francine Brady (Jacob), Samantha and Shane Macauley; his brother-in-law Leroy Wieneke; and his siblings, Addelle Droege, Bernard Tepen, Cletus Tepen and Doris Carnes.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gress, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home - Brussels (145 Community Ave, Brussels, IL 62013). A Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (115 Main St, Brussels, IL 62013). A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery (115 Main St, Brussels, IL 62013).
