He was predeceased by: his parents, Christy A. Genzel, and Myrtle M. Crozier Genzel, Sr.; his children, Robin Lee Genzel and Teresa Genzel Derrick; and his siblings, Christy Genzel, Jr., Earl Genzel, Merle Genzel and Lily Mae Ditman.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Ann Krumwiede; his children, Troy Genzel of Buckley and Toni Skaggs (Robert) of West Lafayette; his grandchildren, Tory Genzel, Nicole Sondgerath, Kristy Jordan, Kaylee Peterson, Connor Genzel, Gabe Mills, Matthew Derrick and William Derrick; and his siblings, Rose Anna Genzel Frichtl of Bloomington, Lee Genzel (Martha) of Buckley and Dale Genzel (Delores) of St. Charles. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
