He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Rumsey and Laura Ruth Rumsey (Wilson); and his brothers, Kenneth Eugene Rumsey and Jerry Lee Rumsey. He is survived by: his siblings, Sandra Kay Martinsen (Kenneth) of West Frankfort, IL and Vernon Dale Rumsey of Buckley, IL; and his sister-in-law Holly Rumsey of Tinley Park, IL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Leffler Funeral Home (401 E Main St, Benton, IL 62812). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Leffler Funeral Service (401 E Main St, Benton, IL 62812). A graveside service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Skyline Memorial Park of Monee (24800 S Governors Hwy, Monee, IL 60449).
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Abundant Life United Pentecostal Church of Benton and will be accepted at the services.
