Martha Powell Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 10, 2026, at the age of 99, Martha Powell of Buffalo Grove, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Martha leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Martha may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Searle and Mary Searle. She is survived by: her children, Barbara Frost (Jim), Jean McFarland (Bill), Marilyn Roland (Brent), Robert "Bob" Powell (Mary) and Wendy Fraser. She is also survived by family member; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 30th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the White Clay Creek Presbyterian Church (15 Polly Drummond Hill Rd, Newark, DE 19711).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to White Clay Creek Presbyterian Church in her memory.
