He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Emerson and Helen Emerson; and his siblings, Reverend Robert, Donald (Mary), Kenneth and Mary Lou Swanson (Lowell).
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann; his sons, Michael (Beth) and David Emerson (Diane); his grandchildren, Caitlin (James), Matthew (Jennifer), Thomas, Sarah, Megan and Claire; and his great grandchild Sophie.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Edna Catholic Church (2525 N Arlington Heights Rd, Arlington Heights, IL 60004). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made In Richards name to the St. Edna Outreach Ministry.
