She was predeceased by : her parents, K. Lewis Gilbert and F. Sarah Gilbert; and her brother-in-law Charles Gerber (Susan). She is survived by : her husband Marshall J. Gerber; her children, Jay Gerber (Ellen), Laura Gerber and Bobby Gerber (Inna Feldman-Gerber); her grandchildren, Max (Bri), Nikki, Jamie, Melissa (Matt), Dana (Mark), Sarah and Ari; her great grandchildren, Madison, Logan, Taylor, Adam, Zoe and Cody; her brothers, Jeff Gilbert (Susan) and John Gilbert (Erica); her nieces and nephews, Dana (Kip), Lauren and Devra; and her close friends, Theresa and Sandy.

A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the Memorial Park Cemetery (9900 Gross Point Rd, Skokie, IL 60076).
