With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James D. Hlafka of Bunker Hill, Illinois, born in Gillespie, Illinois, who passed away on December 31, 2023 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Albert J. Hlafka and Genevieve H. Hlafka (Wilson). He is survived by : his wife Sandra Hlafka of Bunker Hill, IL; his children, Mike Hlafka (Michele) of Kingwood, TX and Marti Hlafka of Springfield, IL; his grandchildren, Brooklyn East (Tom), Michaela Allen (Nick), Ashlyn Hurley (Aaron), Trent Hlafka and Luke Fisher; and his brother Kyle Hlafka (Patty) of Staunton, IL.. He is also survived by several Great Grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to Zion Lutheran Church in Bunker Hill or to Bunker Hill High School Athletics.
