He was predeceased by: his parents, Fletcher, Sr. Lawson and Josephine Lawson (Newingham); and his siblings, Lillie Bunch, Virginia "Sissy" Long, Jeanette Ruyle, Lois Angenandt, Florence Bradley, Janet Wilt, Everett L. Lawson, Fletcher Lawson, Jr. and Otto Lawson.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce D. Helfer (Westbrook); his children, Kim Lawson, Roberta Davidson (Phil), Rich Lawson (Stacey) and Everett Lawson (Nikie); his stepchildren, Kimberlee Daniel (Samuel) and Gary M. Helfer; and his sister Nadine Leonard.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Bunker Hill Baptist Church (503 S Clinton St, Bunker Hill, IL 62014).
