We are sad to announce that, on September 22, 2025, at the age of 71, David Roy Hughes of Burlington, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry F. Hughes and Margie M. Hughes; his brother Donald; his in-laws, John and Grace Goehl; and his cousin Danny Fruin.
He is survived by: his wife Lori Ann Goehl; his children, Kristina Lindmark (Joseph), Alison Stark (Michael) and David L. Hughes; his grandchildren, James, John, Grace, Aiden, Nolan, Lola, Clara and Landon; and his siblings, Diane Schirmer and Dale Hughes (Anne). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grace Church.
