As David departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved David. Though David may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Smith and Blanche Smith (Knicely); his sisters, Alice Downs, Francis Jefferson and Linda Walters; and his close friend Gary Howlett.
He is survived by: his sister Susan Morales of Sharon, WI; and his close friend Paul Erikson.
In lieu of flowers David's family asks that you make a donation in his name to either the Rochelle VFW or the Rochelle Senior Center, both places being very dear to David's heart.
