He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Paul and Myrla Ione Schumacher (Delavergne); and his sister Emily Nutt. He is survived by: his wife Amy Schumacher (Schirmer); his children, Jennifer Chalmers (Tom) of Minnesota and Matthew Schumacher of Rockford; his stepsons, Raymond Diddens (Marchel) of Indonesia and Mark Diddens (Jeannette) of Nashville, Tennessee.; his granddaughter Terra Beckman; and his stepgrandsons, Jacob Diddens, Carson Diddens (Alli) and Omar Diddens.
A memorial fund is established in Joe's name for the Stillman Valley and Byron High School FFA Programs.
