He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Gyorkos and Mary "Mercedes" Gyorkos (Casteel); and his siblings, Fran Heisler (Ron) and Christopher Gyorkos. He is survived by: his wife Marsha Beitel of Byron; his children, Kimberly Gyorkos of Byron and Jeffrey Gyorkos (Kristen Acton) of Rockford; his siblings, Kay Kolls (Jerry), Becky Cashman (Rich), Patty Gyorkos Marinelli, Frank Gyorkos (Margaret) and Anne Prehn (Pete); and his siblings-in-law, Patti Gyorkos and Greg Beitel (Sandy). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Farrell Holland Gale Funeral Home - Byron (506 W Merchant St, Byron, IL 61010). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the United Church of Byron (701 W 2nd St, Byron, IL 61010).
