We bid farewell to Susanne M. Baker of Byron, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 25, 2026 at the age of 87. Susanne touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph VanGundy, and Alverta VanGundy, Sr. (Lynn); her husband Robert A. Baker, Sr.; and her son Bryan Lynn Baker. She is survived by: her sons, Robert Baker, Jr. (Sherri) of Byron, IL and Jeffrey Lynn Baker (Audra) of Kimberling City, MO; her grandchildren, Brooke Alderson (Bryan), Kylie Eden (Jared), Jeffrey Baker, Jr., Nelson Baker (Mara) and Nolan Baker (Zhane); her siblings, Carol Bivins of Big Rock, IL and Jospeh VanGundy, Jr. of Plano, IL; and her sister-in-law Holle VanGundy of Plano, IL.. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Susanne's memory to the Neosho Rapids Memorial United Methodist Church located at 137 S. Commercial St., Neosho Rapids, KS 66864.
