It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clayton E. Whitaker of Cairo, Illinois, who passed away on April 17, 2026, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Slaten Whitaker and Addie Mae Whitaker (Bettis); and his siblings, Robert, Frances, Hank, Violet, Paul and James.
He is survived by: his siblings, Lloyd Norris, Sharon, Donnie, Charles, William, Martha and Ernie; and his nephew Keith Cooper.
In Lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions may be made to Crain Funeral Home to help offset expenses.
