She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd (Elizabeth Fisk) and Helen; her husband James Ira Mapes; her brother Eldon Fisk; and her great grandchild Tyler Thiede.

She is survived by: her children, Linda Gray, Floyd Mapes, Mary Ryan and Russell Mapes (Patti); her siblings, Robert Fisk, James Fisk and Annabelle Maitland; and her grandchildren, Gary Thiede (Rachel), Kevin Thiede (Kim), Shelly Thiede, Stacy Willemsen (Brad), Katrina Mapes (Randy Dohrwardt), Heinrich "Rick" Schwebke (Nikki Monn), Jarod Binkley, Zach Mapes (Madeline), Emily Sandall (Eric Osberg) and Elissa Sandall (Jake Stima). She is also survived by great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Rockford Rescue Mission or to Mercy Hospice.
