She was predeceased by: her former husband Wayne Staas; her father Richard Gonzales Sr.; and her brother Richard Gonzales Jr.. She is survived by: her mother Justina Gonzales Sr. (Perez); her husband Jason Melms; her children, Caitlin Staas (Michaela Greenwalt), Taylor Toseff (Jake Dassow) and Quincy Melms; her grandchildren, Nova, Benny, Toula and Lyra; her siblings, Mary Saavedra (Ernie), Joe Gonzales (Margie) and Roy Gonzales; her sisters-in-law, Marion Gonzales and Jessica Pivett; and her close friend Mark Venades. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
