With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Gary Tarpley of Calhoun, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Tarpley and Ruby Tarpley (Biehl); his wife Rita Graham; his brother James Richard Tarpley; his granddaughter Shannon Cessna; and his son-in-law Eddy Baker.
He is survived by: his children, Sheryl Baker of Olney, Illinois and James Dean Tarpley (Crystal) of Parkersburg, Illinois; and his grandchildren, Ross Tarpley, Heather Cosner (Shayne), Tyler Tarpley (Taylor) and Sheree Campbell. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Meyer Funeral Home (945 S West St, Olney, IL 62450). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at the Shiloh Cemetery.
