He was predeceased by: his parents, George Sr. Sledge and Mary Sledge; and his siblings, Jessie Parham, Harvey, George Jr., Clarence, Arthur and Robert Sledge.
He is survived by: his son Timothy Sledge (Dorothy); his grandchildren, Lamar Sledge (Tiera) and Timea Sledge; his great grandchild Kahleal Sledge; his siblings, Eddie Sledge, Fannie Foote, Crystal Sledge, Barbara Moye (Eli) and Shirley Sledge; and his friend Sam Johnson (Tony Bush). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives.
