He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Hodges and Alice McKinley Hodges (Rowland); his former wife Dorothy "Dot" Howell; his son Danny Hodges; and his siblings, Iva Jean Reese and Billy Hodges.

He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Hodges; his children, Viva "Vi" Jolene Henley and Rocky Heney; his grandchildren, Abby Blue (Matthew) and Scott Hodges; his great grandchildren, Grason, Cameron and Avery Blue; and his sister Sandra Hoover.
