He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Koenigs and Mildred Koenigs (Gilgenbach); and his sisters, Marian Huntley-Lickteig and Catherine Koenigs. He is survived by: his siblings, John, Fred, Richard Koenigs and Theresa Harding; his wife Theresa; and his children, Nancy Evans (Al), Dan Koenigs (Deanna), James Koenigs and Rhonda Turner.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Stackhouse-Moore Funeral & Cremation Services (212 E Court St, Cambridge, IL 61238). A rosary will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Stackhouse-Moore Funeral & Cremation Services - Cambridge (212 E Court St, Cambridge, IL 61238). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. John Vianney Catholic Church (313 S West St, Cambridge, IL 61238). A burial will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the Rosedale Cemetery N 1200th.
Memorials may be made to the Cambridge Ambulance Service or the Hook and Bullet Club.
