She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Downs and Beula Downs (Beam); her husband Russell F. Shelts; her sons, James and Dennis Shelts; and her grandson Will Shelts.
She is survived by: her son Kevin Shelts (Cindy) of Camden; her grandchildren, Denise Shelts of Jacksonville, Kaycee Peterman (Eddie) of Rushville, Kendra Byran (Wade) of Colchester, Jason Shelts (Tracy) of St. Louis and Michael Shelts of Jacksonville; her great grandchildren, William Shelts, Emorie, Kaydee Peterman and Elsie Brough; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Easton and Hadley Bryan; and her sister Julia "Betty" Foster of Virginia.
Memorials may be made to the Schuyler County Farm Bureau Scholarship Fund Foundation or to the Brooklyn Cemetery.
