With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Don Stabler of Camp Point, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Don left this world on December 5, 2025 at the age of 86, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Stabler and Anna Mabel Gay Stabler; his son David Stabler; and his siblings, Joyce Cheney, Anne James and Gene Gay "Reek" Stabler.
He is survived by: his wife Jane; his children, Monty Stabler (Susan) of Mt. Sterling, IL, Susan DeMoss (Everett) of Clayton, IL, Patrick Stabler of Ursa, IL and Dianna Stabler of Collinsville, IL; his grandchildren, Jennifer Campbell, Josh Stabler (Madison), Heather Volk (Eli), Johnathan DeMoss (Leanne), Chad DeMoss, Brenna Goodman (Daniel), Alainna Butler, Marinna Butler, Reyanna Butler, Beckam Butler and Aristina Stabler; his sister-in-law Sandra Stabler; and his sibling's children, Debra Bramblett (Robert), Kim Stabler and Tim Stabler (Tracy). He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Faith Baptist Church (1926 State Hwy 94, Camp Point, IL 62320). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Faith Baptist Church or Homeward Bound Waggin'.
