He was predeceased by: his parents, Rogelio Esparza and Julia Esparza (Guzman); his wife Maria Vasquez; his daughter Elva; and his grandson Jorge.
He is survived by: his children, Eva, Alfredo, Antonio, Roberto, Roman, Leticia, Ramiro, Hortencia, Maricela, Jaime, Martha and Hilda. He is also survived by 31 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 1 brother; 6 sisters; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
