He is survived by: his wife Pam; his son Matthew Mulvenna (Val); and his sisters, Ruth Godo, Mary Jo Rousey (Jerry) and Peggy Ellison. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
His contributions to the university's sports history were permanently honored when he was inducted into the EWU Athletics Hall of Fame in 2016.
