She was predeceased by: her parents, William Brose and Elsie Phillips (Voslow); and her brother Phillip Wayland Phillips. She is survived by: her husband Jack M. Shelby; her sister Irma Randoph (Jack); her children, Melanie Nelson (Philip), James Mark Shelby (Julie) and Scott Shelby; and her grandchildren, Lydia Nelson, Moriah Lucio (Charlie), Hannah Pellman (Nicholas), Rebekah McNeely (Brandon), Peter Nelson (Heather), Catherine Allison (Jason), Megan Miller (Paul), Ashley Reed and Eric Reed (Elisa). She is also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren.
