He was predeceased by: his parents, William Troy and Jeanie Barrett (Marshall). He is survived by: his wife Anne Barrett (Lougeay); his son Alexander Troy Barrett; his daughter-in-law Elizabeth Barrett; his grandson Gabriel Troy Barrett; his sister Nancy Barr; his brother-in-law Jerry Barr; and his brother Thomas Barrett. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church of Carbondale (310 S University Ave, Carbondale, IL 62901). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Oakland Cemetery South Oakland (1100 N Oakland Ave, Carbondale, IL 62901).
