She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugh Stearns and Edith Stearns (Tabouring); her husband Forrest Gene Sanders; her siblings, Gilbert Stearns (Berneice), Vern Stearns (Polly), Criss Stearns, Todd Stearns (Betty), David Stearns, John Stearns (Pat), Kathleen Neal (Herbert), Rose Lipe (Wilburn), Ruby Holder (Paul), Fay Heern (Charles) and Marge Sutton (Sonny); and her brother-in-law Frank Brimmer.
She is survived by: her children, Forrest Lee Sanders (Kitty), Darrell Gene Sanders (Gerilyn) and Clara Ellis (Kenny); her grandchildren, Nicole Gordon (Kyle), Keriana Sanders, Lauren Sanders, Kristen Bathon (Jerod), Ryan Sanders, Katie Stearns (Kyle) and Megan Sanders; her great grandchildren, Lyla Gordon, Alex Bathon, Jolie Bathon, Mila Gordon, Hunter Bathon and Nora Stearns; her sister Effie Brimmer; and her sisters-in-law, Lora Stearns and Betty Stearns. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations in Joy's memory may be directed to Boskydell Cemetery and will be accepted at the funeral home.
