He was predeceased by: his parents, James Nelson and Mary Margaret Hendrix (Cravens). He is survived by: his wife Sue Allen; his children, Jessica Hendrix of Carbondale and James A. (Melissa) of Carbondale; and his grandchildren, Justin, Mya, Shelby, Natalie and Colton.
