James Williams Jr. Obituary

James E. Williams, Jr., 61, of Carbondale, passed away at 7:54 a.m. Monday, November 13, 2017, at his residence in Carbondale. James was born on September 27, 1956, in Flatt River, Missouri, to Mr. and Mrs. James E. Williams, Sr. Mr. Williams had served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict. He had previously worked as a nurse and played golf.

He loved to go fishing and to watch football. Mr. Williams was a Methodist by faith. James married Colleen Kinnare on February 12, 1994, in Alton, Illinois, and she survives. Other survivors include two daughters Christina Williams of Carbondale and Katherine Williams of Godfrey, Illinois; two sons Archer Williams and Sean Williams, both at home; two sisters Susan Munger and Debbie Langsford, both of Orlando, FL; and his father and mother in law Tom and Nora Kinnare of Godfrey. Also other survivors are his oldest son Jimi L Williams and grandson Jimi D Williams and oldest daughter Suzanne Williams and granddaughter Natalie and daughter Ashley Williams and grandsons Anthony , Nick and Zac.

He was preceded in death by one son Jackson and his father. His body will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, November 17, 2017, at Pettett Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Gilbert officiating.
