With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janet Anderson of Carbondale, Illinois, who passed away on August 9, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Janet may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Janet touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dale Oxford and Ruth Oxford (Baughn); her husband Jimmy Anderson of Herrin, IL.; and her brother Wayne Oxford. She is survived by: her sons, Patrick and Eric Anderson; her grandson Jacob Anderson; her great grandchild Aries; and her sister Diane Whitmore.
