She was predeceased by: her parents, Maxine Reeves (Giberson) and Wiley Reeves; and her sister Sharon Daron. She is survived by: her husband Wade Snyder; her children, Julie Yates, Wade E. Snyder (Learni) and Bryan Snyder (Penny); her grandchildren, Caleb Snyder (Marie Funk), Dalton Brown (Abby Frankel), Dustin Brown, Connor Snyder (Drea), Amanda James and Heather Sims (Jeff); her great grandchildren, Noah Snyder, Duncan, Rebecca Sims, Christian and Hayden James; and her sister Carol Nimmo (Skip). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In keeping with her desire to continue helping even after death, she chose to donate her body to the SIU School of Medicine to aid in the advancement of medical education.
