We announce the death of Queenie Elizabeth Clark of Carbondale, Illinois, who passed away on September 11, 2026, at the age of 66. Queenie will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her grandparents, J. C. Price and Elizabeth Crittendon (Price); her father Eddie Clark Sr.; and her son Orlando LaMont Clark. She is survived by: her mother Blanche Clark of Sandusky, Illinois; her daughter Kiaundra Clark of Carbondale, Illinois; her siblings, Barbara Clark of Carbondale, Illinois, Eddie Clark Jr. of Sandusky, Illinois, Debra Jones (Haywood) of Tamms, Illinois, Ivory Clark (Leslie) of Murphysboro, Illinois, Douglas Clark (Deborah) of Sandusky, Illinois and Barry Clark of Sandusky, Illinois.; her grandchildren, Travis, Ormonte' (Kelsey), Donesha, Ja'Myiah, Ja'Mont and Jai'Aunna; her great grandchildren, Kohen, Kamden, A'Lani and Willa Rose; and her friend Eugene Oats. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many cherished friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the New Zion Missionary Baptist Church (803 Robert A Stalls Ave, Carbondale, IL 62901). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at the Oakland Cemetery (1100 N Oakland Ave, Carbondale, IL 62901).
