We announce the death of Robert Dugger of Carbondale, Illinois, who passed away on June 16, 2026, at the age of 76. Robert will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas C. Dugger and Marian Frances Dugger (Brents); his brothers, Billy and Tommy Dugger; his grandparents, Herman and Rose Brents; and his pets, Rags and Jack.
He is survived by: his wife Darla F. Dugger of Carbondale; and his children, Topper, Tillie, Little Angel and Bob Dugger, Jr..
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you help a stranger, pick up a pen and write, or tell someone they're "the only trip worth taking" - because that's what Robert would have done.
