Wade Poole Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wade Poole of Carbondale, Illinois, who passed away on September 20, 2025 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Wade departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Wade. Though Wade may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce Inez Montgomery; his son Kenneth (Marcella Bixler); and his friends, Ronnie Flowers and Jack Nelson. He is survived by: his sons, Bob Poole (Kathy) and Tom Poole (Teresa). He is also survived by six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Crain Funeral Home - Downtown Murphysboro (1421 Walnut St, Murphysboro, IL 62966). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 12:45 PM to 1:15 PM at the Pleasant Grove Memorial Park (31 Memorial Dr, Murphysboro, IL 62966).
Interment will follow the service at Pleasant Grove Memorial Park Memorials can be made in Wade's name to the Murphysboro United Methodist Building Fund and St. Francis Care.
