Mau of Carbondale, Illinois, born in Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on March 5, 2023, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, R. F. Mau, Jr. and Helen Louise "Peg" Mau (Flinn); and his siblings-in-law, G. Raymond Mahoney, Sue D. Mahoney and Mary S. Orne.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Mahoney; his daughter Ellen Jahn (Jeremiah) of Carbondale; his grandchildren, Kathryn, Emily, Magdalene and Phoenix; his great grandchild Keith Mau of St. Louis, MO; his sisters, Kitty Mau of Ashland and Sue Tucker of Ashland; and his siblings-in-law, Margaret Hamann (Rick) of Quincy, Gerald Mahoney (Connie), James Mahoney (Patricia) of Pleasant Plains and Ed Orne of Quincy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
