He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Douglas and Lucinda Maurine Rice (Pitchford); his stepfather Rudy Buyan; his parents-in-law, Helen Freytag and Raymond Freytag (Murphy); his siblings-in-law, John Liles, Mary Mitchell and Eldon Mitchell; and his nephew Skip Rice.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Jean Freytag; his children, Theresa Landon (Mike) of Carlinville, IL and Glenn Douglas Rice of Carlinville, IL; his grandchildren, Cory, Jason, Ashley, Andy, Jess, Tab, Brooke of Harley, D. J., Hayley and Nicholas; his siblings, Gary Rice (Lorraine) of South Carver, MA and Linda Liles of Kansas City, KS; and his stepbrother Greg Buyan (Michele) of Springfield, IL. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
