He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Ruyle and Marie Ruyle (Beard); and his siblings, James Beard, Russell Ruyle Jr., Helen Greenwalt and Betty Robb.

He is survived by: his wife Maxine Ruyle; and his daughters, Jody Emmons (Donnie), Becky Beichler (Greg) and Shelby Reno (Josh). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.
