He was predeceased by : his parents, Dale Dilley and Clara Dilley (Henderson); his father-in-law Norman Vance; and his sister-in-law Cindy Hinds. He is survived by : his wife Pamela Cervi (Vance); his children, John Jason Dilley (Virginia "Gini") of Bradenton, Florida, Meghan Allen (Jason) of Carlinville, David Cervi of Carlinville and Jordan Cervi (Casey) of Carlinville; his grandchildren, Madison Lynn "Numero Uno", Ryan Lee Cervi, Russell "Rusty" Dilley, Sylvia Marie Allen and Gaten Cervi; his brother Larry Dilley (Dody) of Shelbyville; his nieces, Tarrah Kirkpatrick of Windsor and Lindsay Silca (Adam) of Timnath; his mother-in-law Janie Vance of Palmyra; and his brother-in-law Brad Vance (Wendy) of Virden. He is also survived by several nieces, a nephew and nine great nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the MCDD (Macoupin Center for the Developmentally Disabled) or First Christian Church.
