She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond L. Kates and Mildred Murkin Kates; her son Robert "Wes" W. Hazen; and her sister Thelma Hill. She is survived by: her husband Robert E. Monts of Carlinville, IL; her daughters, Uvanna J. McKinney (Bill) of Lakewood, IL and Robin R. Black-Rubenstein (Alan) of Godfrey, IL; her daughter-in-law Misty Hazen of Red Oak, TX; her sister Norma Lape of Shelbyville, IL; and her grandchildren, Michael Owens (Angie), Elizabeth Ragan (Dustin), Danielle Schroeder (Shawn), Sarah LoBue (Lee) of Carlinville, IL, Danette Burke (Daniel) and Taylor Hazen (Toni). She is also survived by 12 Great Grandchildren, and 3 Great Great Grandchildren.
