He was predeceased by : his parents, Ernest P. Hughes and Glenda Hughes (Harvey); his sons, Mervyn and Randall; and his siblings, Howard, Paul, Opal Bilbruck and Martha Lair.

He is survived by : his sons, Kenny Hughes (Vicki) of Carlinville and Steve Hughes (Mitzi) of Palmyra; and his siblings, Frank Hampton (Faye) of Doe Run and Ana Maria Moore of Park Hills. He is also survived by numerous grandkids, great grandkids.
