It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Thomas Pocklington Sr. of Carlinville, Illinois, who passed away on October 26, 2023, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his mother Allie Marie Nance Pocklington; his son Jason Pocklington; his granddaughter Michelle Baker; his father James Edward Thomas Pocklington; and his siblings, Geraldine and James.

He is survived by : his wife Murel Pocklington of Carlinville, IL; his sons, John Pocklington, Jr. (LaShonda Vancil) of Carlinville, IL and James Pocklington (Tammy) of Atwater, IL; his grandchildren, Brandon Pocklington and Lutisha Pocklington; and his great grandchildren, Haylee, Jason and Zaylah.
