She was predeceased by: her birth mother Mary A. Hampton Cook; her parents, Herb Rhoads and Bessie Rhoads; her siblings, Marie Pruitt and James Draper; her grandson Bret Gross Grother; and her great grandchild Landon Gross.

She is survived by: her children, Marsha Smith (Walter) of Carlinville, David of Virden, Ricky Gross (Mary) and Ronald Gross (Stacey) of Carlinville. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
