He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Varner; his children, Daniel of Carlinville, Patrick (Beth) of Evansville, IN, Jeffrey (Beth) of Huntsville, AL, Michael (Stacy) of Savannah, GA, Robert of Ft. Worth, TX, Thomas (Elizabeth) of Fate, TX, Mary Leyrer (Bill) of Duncan, OK and Rebecca Munguia (Carlos) of Chicago, IL; his stepchildren, Keith Bomkamp (Carolyn) of Wood River, IL and Camelia Bomkamp of Mt. Olive, IL; and his siblings, Dick, Norman (Judy), Rita Cerar (George) and Joann Richey. He is also survived by thirty-five grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
