We announce the death of Teressa Lara Chowles of Carlinville, Illinois, who passed away on September 12, 2026, at the age of 50. Teressa will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy Kibler and Maragret Kibler (Glanville). She is survived by: her husband Melvin A. Chowles of Carlinville, IL; her children, Timothy Chowles of Carlinville, IL, Jonathan Chowles (Brooke) of Carlinville, IL and Sarah-Jane Chowles of St. Louis, MO; her grandchildren, Parker Chowles, Noah Chowles and James Becker; and her sisters, Mandy Sueltz (Wayne) of Dallas, TX and Tracey Van Zyl (Rolf) of Panama. She is also survived by two nieces and three nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Davis-Anderson Funeral Home (260 Woodlawn Dr, Carlinville, IL 62626).
Memorials may be made to Barnes Jewish Hospital St. Louis Missouri Cancer Unit.
