With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Arnold W. Fritz of Carlyle, Illinois, born in Wesley, Iowa, who passed away on April 11, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, William A. Fritz and Wilma Fritz; his mother-in-law Norma Jeane Ahrens; his brothers, Dennis Fritz and Richard Fritz; his in-laws, Stanley and Ruby Ahrens; and his siblings-in-law, Edward Bluhm, Paul Ahrens (Juanita), Raymond Ahrens, Mary Ellen Curphy and Mary Curry.

He is survived by : his children, Dawn M. Stedelin (John) of Huey, Dale William Fritz of Birmingham and Jelene R. Rickhoff (Kenneth) of Bartelso, Illinois; his grandchildren, Jarrod Ashby of Mascoutah, IL, Brook Stewart (James) of Robinson, IL, Brent Rickhoff of Bartelso, Renae Poole (Adam) of Breese and Jenna Sims (Bryan) of Trenton; his siblings, James Fritz of McKinleyville, CA, Don Fritz of Britt, IA, Robert Fritz of Pipestone, MN, Virginia Spalding (James) of Burleson, TX and Linda Bluhm of Burnsville, MN; and his siblings-in-law, Diane Fritz of Titonka, IA, Connie Ahrens, Don Ahrens (Linda) of Grinnell, IA and Rick Curphy. He is also survived by 2 step-grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 9 step-great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Messiah Lutheran Church (1091 13th St, Carlyle, IL 62231).

Expressions of sympathy in memory of Mr. Fritz are suggested to Messiah Lutheran Church or to the charity of the donor's choice, and will be received through Zieren Funeral Home, 1111 Clinton Street, Carlyle, IL 62231.
