He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Mable Crossland (Armstrong) and Thomas Henry Crossland, Jr.; his wife Johnnie Robertson; his children, Aaron Crossland of Atlanta and Travianna Crossland of Norcross, Georgia; his grandson Rill Pinsonneault; his brother Thomas Crossland, III (Anne) of Salem, Illinois; his in-laws, Pamela Robertson of Carlyle, Brenda Robertson of Carlyle and Wendy Robertson of Fairview Heights, Illinois; and his nephew Thomas H. Crossland, IV. He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In his final act of generosity and compassion, Byron gave the gift of life through organ donation, continuing to help others even after his passing.
