We bid farewell to Carl F. Brammeier of Carlyle, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 1, 2025 at the age of 85. Carl touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Brammeier and Quinta Brammeier (Knolhoff); and his siblings, Bernice (Wilbert Zimmermann), Eileen (Bill Kleiboeker), Edmond (Alrene Brammeier) and Delbert Brammeier.
He is survived by: his wife Louise Selma Hanenberger; his children, Gary Brammeier of Sandoval, Karen Borcherding (Steven) of Iuka and Danny Brammeier (Motika) of Hoffman; his grandchildren, Sophia, Ethan Borcherding, Curtis, Cortney and Carter Brammeier; his sister Julia Karmeier; his siblings-in-law, Doris Brammeier, Shirley Hanenberger and Carl Hanenberger; his in-laws, Ralph Karmeier, Norma (Jim Lovel), Oliver (Mary Hanenberger) and Ronnie Hanenberger; and his nephews, Nicholas Karmeier and Aaron Haege. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials made in memory of Carl are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church, Trinity Lutheran School, or Christ Our Rock Lutheran High School and will be received at the church or at Nordike Funeral Home, 740 Fairfax Street, Carlyle, IL 62231.
