He is survived by: his children, Leslie Fitch (Chandler) of Nashville, TN, Delbert Higgins (Kelley) of Carlyle, IL and Carrie Thompson (Andrew) of Carlyle; his grandchildren, Jamie Kohrmann (Kurt) of Carlyle, Hollie Smith (Joseph) of Carlyle, Craig Gross of Carlyle, Abigail Gross of San Antonio, TX, Aaliyah Thompson of Smithton, Brianna Smith of Carlyle, Isaac Smith (Chelsea) of Graham, KY and Chloe Smith of Lawrence, KS; his siblings, Violet Redman, Elmer Higgins and Kathy Schaefer (Lee); and his in-laws, Joe Rensing (Gloria Ross), Gay Rensing, Ted Rensing (Diane), Mary Lou Dust (Ron), Dianne Becker, Tony Rensing (Rose), Larry Rensing, Irene Hegger and Annette Wolske (Lester).
