It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Fruend of Carlyle, Illinois, who passed away on July 19, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Fruend and Amanda Fruend (Reinkensmeyer); his wife Elaine Hugo; and his siblings, Ernest Fruend (Betty) and Esther Sprehe (Reinholdt).

He is survived by: his daughters, Deb Fruend of St. Louis, Kelly Price (Bernard) of Carlyle and Heather Athmer (Scott) of Highland; his grandchildren, Benjamin Price (Amber) of Edwardsville, Kortney Price of St. Louis, Braden Price of Carlyle, Abby Athmer of Highland and Joshua Athmer of Highland; his great grandchildren, Brooklyn and Kate Price of Edwardsville; and his brothers, Gene Fruend (Carol) of Nashville and Vernon Fruend (Carolyn) of Carlyle.
