He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell J. and Mary J. Sainz; and his brothers, Russell and James Sainz. He is survived by: his wife Mary "Margaret" Sainz; his children, Elizabeth Sainz (Michael Pittman) and Joseph Sainz (Mackenzie); his grandchildren, Oscar, Josephine Pittman, Miles, Leo Detsky, Rosalie and Maria Sainz; his siblings, Claudia Andrews (late Bill), Beverley Ploch (Barne) and Mary Beth Imperiale (late Sam); and his children, David Anderson and Katherine DeSantis (Mark Detsky).
